![]() ![]() I’ve loved every minute of the Insignia trilogy, and Catalyst completed it perfectly. ![]() Last books of favorite series are always hard, but the ending of this series was pretty perfect and I actually feel okay saying goodbye to this story. The ending was also amazing, satisfying and perfect for the whole series. The story sucked me right in and I wasn’t able to put it down until I finished. Like the previous two books the one-liners were great, the characters were amazing and well written and the universe was extraordinarily detailed. Catalyst had the same snark, humor and excitement that Insignia and Vortex both had, but it also was a bit more profound and was able to be extremely heart wrenching and creepy as well. It was unbelievably good, and it’s (as of now) the best book I’ve read all year.Ĭatalyst is the third book in the Insignia series, and while it might not be my favorite of the series, I think it was the best one. "Wow," "Amazing," and "Fantastic" have been the main things I’ve had to say about Catalyst since I finished it. Read this review on my blog (with pictures!): ![]()

Suffice it to say that there are numerous interested parties, and it seems that John runs into them wherever he goes. I would explain how all this works, but it is so complex and confusing and involves so many people and confusing Victorian legalities, that I won’t try. This book is all about John and his struggles to get at his birthright – he is sort of the heir to a fortune, but it’s a complicated legal matter, and a number of different parties are involved in trying to get the inheritance for themselves.
